I have been using Fbackup 4.2 for a long time. Before I was using it in my laptop with Windows XP. It used to take 37 minutes to back up 7.161 Gb data from my laptop to my external HDD. I now have a new PC with Windows 7. The same backup takes 4 hours!! For this reason, I can not use Fbakup on my PC anymore. Does anybody know what the problem is with Windows 7 when using Fbakup?

Hi,
Please send us the last backup log to info[at]fbackup[dot]com to see what the problem was.

To find it, go to View->Job Logs->Last backup log.

Windows 7 mirror backup to external usb hdd: 17.740.430,83 KB in 28,5 minutes.

Your antivirus is kicking in. Put Fbackup in the excluded processes.

Thank you Admin for your prompt reply and for requesting the backup log for review. I did not send you the backup log file because the reply given by Stein92 solved my problem. Thank you Stein92! Using McAffee's VirusScanConsole, I defined Fbackup directory as an Excluded Directroy for virus scan. This solved the problem completely. In Windows 7, using FBackup v. 4.5.241, I backed up 8.38 Gb in less than 15 minutes! on a 2.67 Ghz Toshiba Qosmio Laptop. This is absolutely Great! Thank you both.
