Every time I run a backup, there is an exclamation point in a yellow triangle on the icon in the left pane of the main FBackup window. I assume this means there are warnings, is that true? I always have some warnings when I check the logs (usually skipped files, but also have had verification test terminated).
Thanx

Hi,
Please send us the last backup log from View->job Logs->Last backup log to info[at]fbackup[dot]com

The exclamation went away the next day.
About the logs, it appears that FB only saves the last log, is that true? There are abbreviated logs kept in another file, but I can only see a detailed log of the last backup, and that is overwritten daily, right?

Hi,
FBackup saves all logs. To access the log folder, go to View->Job Logs->Open Log Folder.

When I do that I only have two logs - one is a non-scheduled full backup I did a week ago, the other log is for the previous night's data backup. It seems to be wrtiten over every night. Maybe I'm not setting FB up right. I originally had one daily job to back up all data. Then I realized I needed at least two backups in case something went wrong during the backup that corrupted the backup. So I made two daily backups, one runs Sun/Tues/Thurs and the other runs Mon/Wed/Fri/Sat. I did that when I could still use the Windows scheduler (see otehr post about problems I am now having with using Task Scheduler). Then I decided to do a Daily every day. when I set that one up I had to use the internal scheduler because TASK SCHEDULER didn't work anymore, and I set up one Daily Backup with multiple events (one for Sun, one for Mon, etc.). I have since deleted that because the computer goes to sleep and evidently the backup won't run.
What's the best way to set up daily backups so you always have at least one good backup in case something happens during a backup?

Thanx.

Hi,
Please download the latest version of FBackup 4.6.253 as there were some fixes regarding the scheduler. Try again using the Windows scheduler.

In Backup Properties->Scheduler->Edit->Schedule, go to Settings tab and check the "Wake the computer to run this task" option.
You always have in destination at least one good backup in case something happens because the old backup is removed only after the new backup is done.
