Nothing To Backup?

I have setup a regular backup that backups up the contents of C:\Users\ on my Windows 7 machine to an external USB drive. It takes almost 5 hours to backup about 300GB of data. In progress, fbackup reports 'adding file c:\users\....'. The log file has entries 'found folder/file\....'. It skips a few temporary files of no consequence. But at the end Fbackup reports an error. The last few entries in the log file are :

[16/06/2014 13:40:38] Added file C:\users\Paul\AppData\Local\Google\Chrome\User Data\Default\Extensions\bepbmhgboaologfdajaanbcjmnhjmhfn\0.1.1.5019_0\_metadata\verified_contents.json

[16/06/2014 13:40:44] Limit number of backups to 1
[16/06/2014 13:40:44] Deleted "1_C.zip" from backup. OK

[16/06/2014 13:40:44] Saving backup catalog "C:\Users\friendly\AppData\Roaming\Softland\FBackup 5\Catalogs\Coolermaster Backup(2).fkc"
[16/06/2014 13:40:45] Closing file "C:\Users\friendly\AppData\Roaming\Softland\FBackup 5\Catalogs\Coolermaster Backup(2).fkc"
Backup aborted. Reason:
All the files and folders have been skipped. Nothing to backup.
Files skipped: 30
Next scheduled backup: 17/06/2014 09:00:00
Backup aborted at 16/06/2014 13:40:45 with 1 error(s), 30 warning(s)
[16/06/2014 13:40:58] Opening file "C:\Users\friendly\AppData\Roaming\Softland\FBackup 5\Catalogs\Coolermaster Backup(2).fkc"
[16/06/2014 13:40:58] Closing file "C:\Users\friendly\AppData\Roaming\Softland\FBackup 5\Catalogs\Coolermaster Backup(2).fkc"
[16/06/2014 13:41:01] Closing file "C:\Users\friendly\AppData\Roaming\Softland\FBackup 5\FBackup.hst"

Searching through the log file, the only warnings are the skipped files. There are no lines containing 'Error:'.

Questions are :
1. Why does it think there is nothing to backup, when I am adding & updating files all the time?
2. Why does fbackup report the backup job as failed when no errors are logged in the file?

Thanks in advance.

Hi,

What version of FBackup do you use? If you don't have the latest one, please install it: 5.0.468.
Let us know if you still have the problem after that.
