I ran a simple backup of "My Pictures" using your tutorial "How to back up data without

using zip compression". This is a simple 6 step process. It seemed to work fine.

I watched it go through all my pictures. It took about 2 minutes, and told me the

backup was successful. I had just transferred these pictures via a CD from my old

XP machine to a new Windows 7 laptop. The CD was almost filled (2MB).
I found 2 .fkc files of 592 kb each, and a .backup file of 812 kb.
These files seem way too small to me.
Thank you for any comments.----------------Larry Donchin

Hi,
Please see the backup log from View->Job Logs->Last backup log. Does it include any warning or errors?
What is the size of your "My Pictures" folder?
The .fkc file is the catalog file, the backed up files should be near it.

Hi--------
Thank you for your response.
I did as you suggested. After checking the log file, I found that the backup

was 351,850 kb, which was close to the size of My Pictures (356 MB). There were

some Public Pictures which must have made up the difference.
I am very pleased with Fbackup4, and will recommend it to friends.
Thank you again--------------Larry Donchin
