When testing FBackup to see if I wanted to use it, In the advanced options, i cannot select full backup + standard encryption, it keeps complaining about "Cannot create independent splits using Zip(2) compatible encryption", however the create independent splits option is greyed out

how can i encrypt my full backup?

Hi,

It looks like the options are strangely selected in your screenshot.
Please open again Backup Properties->Compression.
Select "None" and uncheck the "Create independent splits" option.
Then try again to select "Standard encryption".
Do you still have the problem?

Hi,

Do you have the same problem if you create a new backup job?
If yes, can you give me access to your computer using TeamViewer to help you configure the backup?

it seems to only be a problem if i create the backup using 'advanced mode', if I go through the simple mode, i'm able to provide a password just fine . Once i go through the simple mode, i can then edit the properties and the 'create independent splits' option is no longer greyed out

it seems like this is a bug that should be pretty easily reproducible, but i can make a video if needed to demonstrate it

Hi,

I cannot reproduce the problem per your description, using the latest version of FBackup.
