opening .fkc files

I want to use my external hard drive to share files on friend's computers, but can't open the .fkc files. Help appreciated.

What is the error message received when trying to open the .fkc catalog file using FBackup?

Sorry, I didn't explain myself very well. I can't open the files on other peoples' computers (who don't have FB) as the file format is changed.

Hi,
The .fkc backup catalog is a file type that can be opened only by FBackup (and Backup4all). It doesn't contain your backed up files, but it contains information about the backed up files such as size, name, path, date modified/created and so on.
Why do you need to open that file outside FBackup on another computer?

Sorry, I've been rather stupid, I saw the .fkc files and assumed that was it. I've now found where my files were backed up to.I'm relatively new to computers and old to life,( as you may have guessed) and was bought a WD My Passport HD. I didn't like the software, so deleted it and now I've found how to use yours I'm very happy! FB gives me more control than the WD software, for sure.
