Hello again,
Step 1. at 11.23am, user logged in - FBackup runs OK (tray icon shows a little arrow) and generates the following log files:
bSchedStarter_20140411112301.log @11.23am
Weekly Backup_20140411112303.backup.log @11.47am

Step 3. at 12.50am - user logged out - FBackup runs OK (afterwards tray icon shows an exclamation mark) and generates the following log files:
bSchedStarter_20140411125002.log @12.50pm
BackupTray_20140411131754.log @13.17pm - ???
Weekly Backup_20140411125006.backup.log @13.18pm

Please note, I'm running Windows 8.1 - with latest April updates.
I normally leave the laptop to sleep, then hibernate, it is not Shutdown.
If I log off, all programs, processes etc. are stopped.
If I let it go into Hibernate, all programs, processes etc. are saved to HDD for the resume.
I will try it by logging off and then putting the laptop into hibernate.
Thanks,
Colin

Just tried that.
When I logged in, the display showed an error:
error1.jpg
error1.jpg (165.48 KiB) Viewed 2935 times
But the backup seems to have run OK, log files:
bSchedStarter_20140411134511.log @13.45pm
Weekly Backup_20140411134517.backup.log @13.50pm
BackupTray_20140411135420.log @ 13.54pm

The backup.log shows no errors, but the tray icon didn't show and ! mark.....

Hi,

Is the "Show tray icon" option selected in File->Options->Startup ?
if yes, please uncheck it.
Also please download the latest version 5.0.450
