Timeout waiting for bSettings.exe

I've run into a problem running FBackup. When I attempt to open FBackup, I get a dialog box titled "Checking Application Folders" with the message, "Timeout waiting for bSettings.exe to finish."

I'm prompted to restore the application folders to the default paths; when I do this the same startup cycle begins. Choosing not to reset the application paths closes FBackup.

I've tried uninstalling and re-installing FBackup, but the issue remains. I've also tried temporarily disabling the firewall and anti-virus.

Any suggestions what else I should try?

Best Regards,

Dave

Hi,

Please close FBackup and rename these folders:
c:\Users\<current user>\AppData\Roaming\Softland\FBackup 5\
c:\ProgramData\Softland\

Open FBackup. It will start with no jobs, you can open them from the backup destination by opening the .fkc catalog files.
