Backup straight to source

Post by JDowls »

Hello all.
Im looking for a way to create a backup directly to the source drive.
IE- Mirror A: to B:, backup name "Backup"... A:\clip.mkv backs up to B:\clip.mkv rather than what I get now B:\backup\clip.mkv

Is this even something possible with FBackup? Ive poked around, but couldnt find anything.
Currently running 9.9.975

Hi,

Yes, you can do that using FBackup.
Please open "Backup Properties->Type" page.
Make sure the following options are unchecked:
"Copy files in a subfolder"
"Create full paths"

Then press Save and run again the backup.
Do you know you can monitor your backups remotely with Backup4all Monitor? You can read more here: https://www.backup4all.com/backup4all-monitor.html

Pokerogue

If I uncheck both options, will FBackup retain the original folder structure when I restore data, or will all the files be consolidated into one location?
