How to get rid of update and upgrade prompts

I have been using FBackup for a couple years. It works great and is perfect for me. Lately, every single day, I get popups.

One is to ask me if I want to update to ver 9.9.979. I tell it NO, but every day it bugs me again about it. I don't want to update; I am very happy with it just the way it is.

The other popup is asking me to upgrade to Backup4All. Again, I tell it NO, but every day it bugs me again about it.

There's a button on that screen that says Change Update Frequency, so I clicked on that, hoping there was a NEVER option. But all I get from that is an error message saying "Could not open the Options form".

So, is there a way to stop these popups? I haven't looked into it, but perhaps there is an update service running (Win10) that I can disable.

EDIT: I did run Services and looked for a separate FBackup update service, but the only FBackup service is the one that runs the backups, so I couldn't mess with that.

Hi,

To disable the check for updates, go to File->Options->Startup and updates.
Uncheck the "Check for updates at application startup"
On "Check for updates" select "Manual".
Then press OK.
