On my network of Windows machines, I have a Maxtor network drive that natively runs some form of Linux. As far as I can tell, it does not have working Archive bits - at least, that is why I assume I'm unable to back it up with an XCOPY that simply inspects the A attribute.
My question:
If I upgrade to Backup4All Pro (to allow backing up of network drives) will I be able to back up any new or changed files on this drive? (I guess my underlying question is "Does FBackup/Backup4All inspect/catalog times and dates or does it use the A attribute?").

Hi,
With FBackup, only the catalog time and dates and CRC criteria are used.

With Backup4all you can also use the archive bit.
