Hi,

Please follow these steps:
1. Uninstall FBackup from Control panel.
2. Rename the following folders:

Code: Select all

"C:\ProgramData\Softland\FBackup 6\"
"C:\Users\<user name>\AppData\Roaming\Softland\FBackup 6\"
3. Open regedit.exe and search for "FBackup" and delete any reference
4. Download FBackup 6.2.246 from our website. Make sure it is completely downloaded on your computer before starting the installation. The current setup has 72,9 MB. If the installer is smaller, than there is a problem.
5. Install again FBackup.

Fbakup couldn't make it today. Suggested any time this week (but Friday afternoon) and left it to them to set on a slot time.

Hi Stelios,

Saw your remarks on page 2 too late. Did everything you suggested, i.e. in regedit there was no entry with Fback up so instead I removed Softland. Downloaded new version of Fbackup, installed it (took much longer than previously), message: programe installed .... but cannot find it!! Looks like problem is still the same. By email I suggested certain time slots for this week. Pleasse let me know asap which one yhouy are going to use.

Hi,

The installation went fine in both cases, we were able to connect to both users today.
In the first case, simply running the setup installed FBackup just fine.
In the second case, the antivirus or something blocked the setup to run. Using the .msi installer solved the problem. The setup went find and FBackup started immediately.

As I said during the Teamviewer session: it beats me completely (am working with computers since the late 1980's and even did quite some programming in Dbase in the 1990' s making .exe files with a programme named CLIPPER), but thanks anyway!
