FBackup Forum

Hello,
my question is this:
before even installing the program, I had already copied all the files from my external hard drive that I use continually, to another external hard drive that I intend to use as a mirror.
I'm talking of several Tb of data.

Now, if I through FBackup create a "New Backup Job", and mirror backup, will the program recognize that there already is a mirror of the files, and skip the moving of files step, or will it try to write over, or delete the files already present, or something similarly bad?

I hesitate to try before I know the answer, and I can't find any in the User Manual.

Hi,

FBackup will not recognize the files you manually copied in destination. It will try to back up all files again.
Depending on the destination folder you select, the files in destination can be overwritten by FBackup.
