Having a very strange issue. We upgraded our domain controller to 2008 last week and since then we can no longer backup with Fbackup. We had been using an administrator Domain account to give fbackup access to the backups server (don't want all users able to see the backed up files of everyone else obviously). Now those credentials no longer work, I suspect they aren't being passed through. I know it is an issue with Fbackup as I have tried another program, GFI backup, and it works just fine with the same user info. Need some help with this one guys.
I don't want to switch programs as Fbackup has a very unique mix of functions that we can't find anywhere else.
Thanks in advance!

Re: Credentials not working after domain upgrade
I should point out that this is the case from multiple machines.

Hi,
I understand there is a problem with the scheduler, is that correct?
Have you tried to recreate the scheduled tasks?
Can you run a backup manually?

Re: Credentials not working after domain upgrade
No, that is not at all the issue. Notice how the word "schedule" isn't anywhere in my post.
Fbackup isn't passing credentials to authenticate since we upgraded our domain controller.
And yes I have tried to recreate, from scratch the settings that worked before our DC upgrade.

Hi,
Are you able to access the network location using Windows Explorer under the same user account and the same credentials?

Yes, The account can access and write to the share just fine.
The credentials are also passed just fine by a different backup program (GFI backup).

Re: Credentials not working after domain upgrade
This turned out to be a DNS issue. No clue why only Fbackup was having the problem resolving the name but going by IP got it working again. The backup server was a Synology NAS box.
