Warning/Error Message

Post by ronvdb »

My backup is working fine except it won't backup my Outlook .pst file. This is the error I receive:

[5/31/2017 3:32:16 PM] Warning: Skipping file C:\Users\Ron\AppData\Local\Microsoft\Outlook\Outlook.pst
Destination error (code 112). There is not enough space on the disk. (E:\Backup Files\Gateway Backup1\C\Users\Ron\AppData\Local\Microsoft\Outlook\Outlook.pst). E:\Backup Files\Gateway Backup1\C\Users\Ron\AppData\Local\Microsoft\Outlook\Outlook.pst.

The problem is that my destination drive has 95 GB available. The .pst file that is trying to copy is 4.52 GB. It will backup to the destination drive 3.99 GB of the .pst file only. Is there a limit on the size of an individual file that it will copy?

I am using version 6.4 build 355.

Any help would be appreciated. Thanks. Ron

Figured out my problem. My external drive is formatted as FAT32 and that format cannot handle files over 4 GB. I need to reformat the drive to NTFS. Maybe this will help someone else also.

I am getting this same error message on some, but not all, of the computers whose email and documents I am trying to back up to a 2TB external hard drive. The external hard drive has 1.5 TB of free space and is formatted to NTFS. Ten computers on the network back up with no problem. Three get this error message, and a fourth say's it can't find the destination drive. So what else could be the problem?
