I've recently come across a situation where Fbackup doesn't delete files after they've been deleted from the source drive. The settings are as follows: Type: mirror + create full paths + remove excluded or deleted files from backup.
Some files are indeed deleted, but some other files stay unchanged inside the destination folders. Aditionally, test after backup is also checked.
What am I doing wrong? How to fix it?

Hi,
If you look in the backup logs for the execution when those files should have been deleted, are they listed in log as being deleted?
What is different between the files deleted and the one remaining in destination?

Well, the thing is that those files were deleted a long time ago, and the logs of that are long gone. The difference between between the two folders is that there are 2folders full of files in the backup, but those files aren't on the source drive.
I decided to create a new mirror. I hope that it won't happen again.

This is happening to me too. Same setup (mirror, etc). When I rename a folder containing a tree of folders and files, and run a backup, the destination gets the contents under a folder of the new name and fails to delete folder of the old name which has the same contents. The destination ends up with twice the number of files. How to fix this problem?

Hi,
In "Backup Properties->Type->Mirror", is the "Remove excluded or deleted files" option selected?

Do you know you can monitor your backups remotely with Backup4all Monitor? You can read more here: https://www.backup4all.com/backup4all-monitor.html
