Hi,

Do you use any virtual disk application on that computer?
Do you know you can monitor your backups remotely with Backup4all Monitor? You can read more here: https://www.backup4all.com/backup4all-monitor.html

Sorry for my late response, but have no virtual disk application on that server but have now the 9.6 version build 574 and it had work well until a last win server update last night.

I usually find that after a Windows update that I need to run FBackup with "Run as Admin" once, otherwise the IPC Service won't start. After that it works fine until the next Windows update.

Hi,

When you start the FBackup interface normally, does it appears a popup asking you to try again starting FBackup service?

After a Windows "Patch Tuesday" update, if I start FBackup normally (or let a job start) it'll pop-up a message asking if I want to re-start a service (don't recall if mentions Fbackup service or IPC service) but it just sticks in a loop repeatedly asking that. If you choose to to restart the service then you get the error message about the IPC Service (as far as I recall).
I think this is probably the same issue that omnimedia is running into, which is why I mention my experience here.
This started several months ago for me. At first, I was re-installing FBackup each time to clear the issue, more recently I found that running FBackup as admin once was enough, so now I do this routinely after a Windows update so haven't actually seen the pop-up for a couple of months.
