I just updated to the latest verion and the following was detected and removed by Windows Defender:

Trojan:Win32/Sabsik.DAB!MTB
This program is dangerous and executes commands from an attacker.
Affected items: file: C:\Program Files (x86)\Softland\FBackup 9\bStatistics.exe

Should I rollback? is this an error?

I have had the same issue and this latest version also won't uninstall

Yes indeed fbsetup.msi coming up as Trojan:Win32/Sabsik.DAB!MTB
file: C:\ProgramData\Package Cache\{6F607244-5968-44B0-B403-C78E4273F904}v9.8.702\fbsetup.msi

I suspect a false positive...in the mean time I quarantined fbsetup.msi, ran another complete scan and all is negative.

These additional files showed up as Trojan:Win32/Sabsik.DAB!MTB as well. I suppose these are probably associated with FBackup.

That is a false positive.

Thanks Adrian for the confirmation. Some of the FBackup [not EmClient] files got quarantined but I do believe the program still runs...if not what should I do to repair?

Today (2 Jan 2023) I too got a virus warning when trying to install version 9.8.702. My windows defender aborted the installation. Please tell me what to do about this. Just wait for the next version of FBackup?

I would run the program you have installed and wait for the next update.

Now my previously installed version hangs and won't work! Please help – what to do now?

(it is 9.8.682 and the new version that got flagged for virus is 9.8.702. I run win10 on my pc.)

Try to uninstall and reinstall FBackup. Do you still have the problem?
