I backed up my data using Fbackup with standard compression, to an external disk. My computer crashed and I've reconnected the external disk - The archive is there and I can see the files inside it but when I try to restore it does the file structure then prompts for a password when it starts to do the files. I've put in the password that I used but it says it's incorrect. Have tried other combinations of things, for example, reversing the upper and lower case letters but still nothing. I also tried reinstalling Fbackup to see if I could look at the properties of the .fkc file, which I can. Won't accept the password when I try to change it in the file properties either. Only thing I can see that's out of place is the date of the last backup in Fbackup is shown as 12/30/1899. Any ideas?

Hi,
The password is the one which was set up. You need to remember the correct password.

Do you know you can monitor your backups remotely with Backup4all Monitor? You can read more here: https://www.backup4all.com/backup4all-monitor.html

Well I now have two separate backups which are both not accepting the password I'm putting in - Is it possible that the backup can or the password can get corrupted?
