Quick Question about restorations
Quick Question about restorations
If I backup using FBackup or Backup4All, and the drive with the program installed on it crashes, upon reinstalling on a new drive how will the program find my backup data? Moreover, if it finds the backup, how will it know where those files came from and where to restore them to? Is there an option for this?

Re: Quick Question about restorations
Hi,
The backup catalog is stored in two locations: in the local catalog folder and also in destination, near the backup files.
If your computer crashes, you just need to install FBackup on the new computer, load the .fkc catalog file from the backup destination and the backup job will be recreated in FBackup.
Then you can restore the backup files you need.
