I have been informed by HP support that I have corrupted operating system files. I cannot use Windows to backup or set a system restore point. I was told that I have to reset my laptop back to factory conditions, meaning... reinstalling windows...
Can I use FBackup and then reinstall windows? Will my backup be erased with everything else? Or would I need to backup with FBackup, then send that file somehow to my husband's computer which is on the network or save it on a CD? Is that possible?
I'm practically computer illiterate. Can anyone help me? I just don't want to lose all my photos, contacts, countless document files... But I want my laptop running like it was when I bought it.

Hi,
Please note FBackup was not designed for system backup. You should use it for data files backup only.

Do you know you can monitor your backups remotely with Backup4all Monitor? You can read more here: https://www.backup4all.com/backup4all-monitor.html
