Hi,

I have a similar problem.
A dialog appears "Could not start Backup for job ..".

Log file:
[30.6.2014 17:04:22] FBackup 5.0.483
[30.6.2014 17:04:22] C:\Program Files (x86)\Softland\FBackup 5\bBackup.exe /GUI {11111111-1111-1111-1111-222222222222} /JOB {DF5EF531-BE3D-44F7-8485-4007495AD9C5}

[30.6.2014 17:05:43] Error: Invalid command line parameter or no imtStart messager received!

I had older version (4.x) installed but I just noticed that it had not worked for several months, so I uninstalled that and installed the newest version.
But still something is wrong...

Hi,

There is no Bugs folder, only ServiceLogs.
Anyway, it is now attached.

Hi,

Do you have a firewall or antivirus which is blocking bservice.exe?
Please put it in the exceptions list and try again.

Thanks for your help so far!

I do not have antivirus but do have Windows default firewall.
I have now put bservice.exe in the exceptions list (Fbackup - IPC service), but no effect.
However, bServics.exe seems to be running (Task Manager).

The computer in question is a Windows Server 20028 R2 and it is normally not allowed to enter internet. Is that a problem and if it is, why?
I have tested it using Administrator account.
Starting of FBackup takes several minutes showing "Initializing destination plugins". Is that normal?

Hi,

Did you put bservice.exe in the exceptions list of both antivirus and firewall?
Have you tried to restart the server after that?

The "initializing destination plugins" message is not normal to appear several minutes.
Do you have the same problem if you close FBackup and rename this folder? "C:\Users\<user name>\AppData\Roaming\Softland\FBackup 5\"

I do not have antivirus only firewall.
I restarted the server after I made the exception in firewall.

I closed FBackup and renamed the folder you mentioned. After new start the folder was recreated but still the program does not work.

Now the log file looks like this:

[7/8/2014 2:06:13 PM] FBackup Service 5.0.483
[7/8/2014 2:06:13 PM] Search for "Warning: " and "Error: " to locate warnings and errors in this log file

Processor[1] : Intel(R) Xeon(R) CPU E31220 @ 3.10GHz
Processor[2] : Intel(R) Xeon(R) CPU E31220 @ 3.10GHz
Processor[3] : Intel(R) Xeon(R) CPU E31220 @ 3.10GHz
Physical memory (free/total) : 6350 MB/8157 MB
Admin/BkPriv/RePriv : True/False/False
IsWOW64 : True

[7/8/2014 2:16:19 PM] Ipc warning: Timeout waiting for <"C:\Program Files (x86)\Softland\FBackup 5\bBackup.exe" /GUI {11111111-1111-1111-1111-222222222222} /JOB {2F5375E0-E9D4-4A86-8FA7-E6D9ECFE21A1}> to connect to IPC service
