Re: Error: Cannot create folder
I had a similar issue with a network share. Fbackup was giving me these type of errors, yet when I used the DOS command "net use" to map a drive to that share and used the xcopy command it worked fine. Ultimately, I ended up deleting the network share and recreating it. That solved my prob...

Scheduled backup doesn't start if credentials are different
I'm using the latest version - v5.3 Build 704 on a Windows 7 Pro PC which is in a Windows workgroup. I created a backup job using the windows username Jim. I want the backup to run even if the user is not logged in. Jim is part of the local administrators group. Jim doesn't have a login password and...

Re: Full backup without clearing the destination repository?
Actually I don't want multiple versions. I just want the most recent. However if a file is accidentally erased in the source, it should still be there in the destination if you didn't wipe it out before starting the full mirror backup! The idea would be for the wipe out of the destination to be a se...

Full backup without clearing the destination repository?

Will you ever support a GFS backup scheme?
The GFS backup scheme takes into account the idea of doing daily (Son), weekly (Father) and monthly (Grandfather) backups. It would be nice if FBackup could design a backup scheme that would resemble that idea.

Will we ever be able to do 2 types of backup in the same job
Here is a scenario that I would think is pretty common. I want to backup files from a PC to a "Backup" PC. The "mirror" backup is done weekdays at 10:00. However, I would like to do a full backup on Wednesdays and an incremental backup for the other 4 days of the week. To my know...

why is there 2 "clear backup" options
I noticed that under "Advanced" options, you can run an action before the backup runs to "Clear backup". I also noticed this possibility under the "Scheduler/What" option called "Clear backup before run". Why is this option also in the scheduler? Does this opt...

<t>I installed the latest version of Fbackup. I would like to make a scheduled "mirrored" backup job run "only" from the system tray in XP. I tried various combination of "minimize to tray" and Visualization mode (Minimized and Tray) without any consistent success. I got it working on some XP system...
